Charting the course

Networking is a driving force in mechanical engineering. And our General Assembly is also supposed to contribute to achieving this goal – in Berlin, one of the centers of global networking.

It is no coincidence that the VDMA General Assembly is held in this city.
On the evening of November 10, 2016, the members will meet for the first time in the Tempodrom to get to know each other and exchange their views. The event on the second day will start with three working groups in the morning, which offer the opportunity to discuss some of the most crucial topics for the future of our industry.
Following the working groups, the new VDMA President, the Vice Presidents, the Restricted Board and the Main Board will be elected as part of the General Assembly. These elections will chart the course for the associations’ work in the next years.
An exciting program of fringe events is planned on the same day, offering great opportunities for partners to discover something new. And the festive “Evening of Mechanical Engineering” on the second day of the General Assembly at the Velodrom will also hold many surprises.
VDMA is the largest network organization in mechanical and plant engineering and active in many countries – which is also shown by the fact that we have an increasing number of members from other European countries. To enable them to actively participate in our General Assembly, important parts of the program will be translated simultaneously into English.
